FACS 200: Interior Design I
In interior design we explore the spatial relationship humans have with their environment in two- and three-dimensional applications through applied research.
Color Theory Project
Through this project our objective was to understand the difference between primary, secondary, and tertiary or intermediary colors. On the canvas that was provided to us we had creative freedom to make our color wheel look however we wanted. It ultimately just needed to be a color wheel containing the three types of colors.

Group Project #1

For this assignment, my group was to work together to create a project that physically moves while celebrating one or more of the tenants of Gestalt Theory. The project could be of any medium and there were no parameters on size or shape.

Group Project #2

For this Assignment, my group was to create a project that invites and encourages passersby to experience Meaning of Place Theory. The project could be made of any medium and there were no parameteres on shape, but the size was limited to 8' x 3' footprint. It had to be something that an individual could holistically experience and incorporate a multisensory element.

For this project we were to utilize an article that we had read previously in order to incorporate the principles of Change theory as it relates to interior design. Then, we were to create a model of a public space that illustrates this concept as described. The model could be made of any material.

For my model I used foam core and printed paper to illustrate retail stores which can be further looked into by the article summary and model summary above.
Final Project

Gestalt Theory Exercise

Law of Closure

Law of Continuity

Law of Similarity

Law of Symmetry

Law of Proximity

Law of Figure-Ground
Using colored shapes that were provided we were to arrange them on a white sheet of paper to demonstrate each of the six laws.
