Digital Drafting I
FACS 243
This class consisted of a semester long project working on the Hawthorne House. During this project we worked with AutoCAD heavily and created crucial plans in the demolition and remodeling of this home.
Hawthrorne House Residential Project

NO 1. Demolition Plan
This plan was created to show the demolition to the house to create the changes the clients had in mind. We were to make the opening between the dining room and den 12' wide and take out the kitchen cabinets.
NO. 3. Kitchen Elevations

NO. 3. Kitchen Elevations
For this assignment it was asked that we create elevations of the kitchen. This particular elevation shows the elevation of the sink wall. I went with a Bristol style for the cabinet doors and a large farmhouse sink.
For my final elevation I displayed floor to ceiling cabinetry for plenty of storage and also decorative interest. I also used a kitchen aid refrigerator which was from the same collection as the stove.

NO 2. Construction Plan
This plan that visualizes all the new plans for the home. This shows a potential furniture layout and the new cabinets. The section cut labels can also be found which correspond to the following plans.

NO. 3. Kitchen Elevations

NO. 4. Details Plan
This elevation shows the wall containing the stove, I used a kitchen aid stove and a hood that ties into the cabinet style. I also added a display rack for plates and a glass cabinet for displaying dishes or decorations.
The section cuts and details can be found on this sheet along with measurements and specifications.

Dorm Room Model
For this assignment, I created a floor plan of my dormitory using the actual dimensions of the space and the furniture found within the room. Using different line weights and adjusting the transparency. I included material textures such as wood flooring and the bathroom tile.
SketchUp Furniture
For this project we were to research an architectural style and apply it to a piece of furniture. I choose the Cape Cod Architectural style because of the clean, simple lines that create timeless designs.
